In chapter 16, it struck me what it must have been like to be Jessie. He watched as Samuel anointed his son David and then sometime later to hear Saul wanted David in his presence. Was this part of God’s plan to make David King? Was this an evil thing, would Saul find out about David’s anointing and kill him? As a father the concern he would have for David. He would have to learn to trust God in the new way.

There must have been something special about Jesse. Look at all the times in Scripture that David is described as “David, Son of Jesse.”

You’re right Ken never thought of that.
While I was a “christian” i never understood who this Jesse Guy was and why Yeshua was in the line of King David Son of Jesse.

Ik makes more sence Now although I must say I dont know much about Jesse at all. Thanks for pointing it out!

Yes time flies and i can keep up with the reading but don’t have much time left to dig in to most of the issues i cross. But i decided that the reading part is, for this time, the most important and what pops up first.

I Think it is sagnificant that it is said here that Elkanah is a Ephraimite. It is also not surprising the the Women that have a heart for YeHoVaH in the Bible start off being without child and having to beg YHVH to open their womb and that He then sinds a special child. which does very speacial things.

Chapter 2 vers 25 is fascanating” If one man sins against another, YeHoVaH will mediate for him; but if a man sins against YeHoVaH, who can intercede for him?
This reminds me that exactly for this reason Yeshua came died, rose again and went back to His Father to mediale for us. Wow! He is this Priest….
Because in vers 35 He says; “I will raise up for Myself a faithfull Priest who will do according to what is in MY heart and in MY soul; and I will build Him an enduring house, and He will walk before My annointed always.

I love it when the god Dagon Falls before the ark of the covenent 2times the second time loting his head and hands….as if YeHoVaH is saying the god is nothing it cannot Think not van it do anything for you it is easily torn down.

How awesome is our God that we cannot see but wins battles for us saves and protects us!!

If you ask me vers 13 is talking about the feest of Shavuot!
Here the Levites do there Job they have not forgotten that they are responible for the ark!

But how Holy is He that keep His word. No one was to look into the ark and if some one did he was stikken and died!
