This reaction is a bit late but what surprises me is that YeHoVaH never centions to David that having all these wives was against His Torah or wasn’t it?

    This really was Davids weekspot.

But the way I read what YeHoVaH says in charter 12:8 is that if he wanted her he just could of asked for what ever he wanted and it would have been given to him. I find this quit interesting. YHVH never argued against having all these wives and concubines.

You can hear the hurt in Yehovah’s statement in 12:9-10. Makes me think of too many times I sought my own will over His. Wow, it’s really despising Him. If I can think that way from here on, I will be so much more careful to seek His ways!

I got behind in my reading and it took me a bit to get caught up.

What caught my attention in today’s reading is David’s answer when Yehovah stopped him from building the Temple he wanted to build. He didn’t argue or disobey, he simply accepted that he was not the one to do this.

David was far from perfect, and we’re coming up on the story that so perfectly reveals this, but it’s situations like this that remind us why David was chosen. Yehovah said He was looking for someone after His own heart and He found that person in David. Later we see him repenting for those things he does that are disobedient, again revealing why Yehovah chose him.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if we were all as humble, obedient, & quick to repent as David was? Hearts after Yehovah’s own. May the world to come, come quickly.

I totally agree that David was Quick to obey and Quick to repent.

This would make the world a better place;-)

I love chapter 7 vers 28. This has become so true in my life, Oh YeHoVaH elohanu, You are YeHoVaH and Your words are TRUTH. He keept His promises.

David sought to move the Ark, but in the way that made sense to him. That didn’t work out. David feared Yehovah and that led to moving the Ark following Yehovah s instructions for moving it.
