Hanukkah Prayer on the Temple Mount
Hanukkah
As I prepared to leave Jerusalem to go to Tel-Aviv to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah with my dear friend Noam and his family, I decided to end my time here with a “forbidden” prayer on the Temple Mount. You know, the place where the Maccabees rededicated the altar after their miraculous victory over the Greeks.
I also decided to pray at the south-east corner right above the Al-Marwani Mosque which is now connected to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. I am working on a separate piece that I hope to complete eventually to share with you about the significance of the place I prayed.
I realize that it is forbidden by the Jordanian WAQF to pray up there, but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to rededicate my life to Yehovah from the place where he says:
“Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place. 2 Chronicles 7:15
I also captured my prayer from up there in a short video so that you could pray with me!
Your friend in Israel,
Keith
