    Shalom Everyone!

I’m out in West Texas not too far from Big Bend National Park. I didn’t start off here, but this is where Yehovah told me to go in 2007, after telling Him no, I will not go, ten years later here I am and what a journey it was to get here. I don’t tell Him no anymore, I learned my lessons. Yes, there have been many!

I wanted to know what my Hebrew name was so I looked each of them up. Stephanie Elaine Shiflet. Stephanie = Tzefira which means West Wind. Fitting right? I’m in the Western part of the world and live in West Texas. Elaine = Elaine which has a literal translation Eli’anah> Eliyanah means “my God answered me”!!!! This is prophetic because I would have a hard time listing the number of times that Yehovah hu ha Elohim has answered me in this lifetime!

I am the West Wind and my God, Yehovah answered me!

Shiflet is not Hebrew, and yes we shook the tree Twice! Neither myself or my husband have Jewish DNA by man’s calculations. Honestly, we were hoping but we are not discouraged as we know there are only two possibilities left: Part of the Lost Tribes or Grafted in, which only Yehovah knows and we are totally okay with it.

I recently got The Book (The Israel Bible) and I am already blown away at how more accurate the scriptures seem to be. I was excited that the correct vowel points are there. I was disappointed that Yehovah as covered up by Hashim, however, I do understand that the restoration must begin with baby steps. Who am I kidding? I keep the Coin in my pocket and share it when led and if they want more I’ve got the Card!

I know I’m late getting started in this group but that seems to be the story of my life, I’m always 15 min early to every appointment but I always feel I’m behind in everything else I do… Perhaps, I’m right on time…

  • Shalom y’all, from SE Texas, by way of the Great Lakes, South Pacific, Caribbean, and a few other places. Just an old wayward sailor who found himself beached and thirsty for living waters some time ago. Stumbled onto Michael Rood, Nehemia Gordon and Keith Johnson – and mighty pleased to be here. Posted a comment earlier this evening regarding the vowels in my new ‘The Israel Bible’ (most pleased!). One suggestion regarding loaning out books by Nehemia Gordon; If you really don’t mind ever seeing that copy again – go ahead and loan it out – as I have yet to get one back! I hope and pray that’s a good thing.

    Shalom Everyone.

I want to say thank you for all of the notes that everyone is making while Reading the Book. However, I am having trouble with one area. I do not have any congregation that I attend other than the Shabbat Night Live people on Michael Rood’s YouTube Channel. This makes it hard for me to keep myself accountable while reading. I have not found any churches or congregations in my area that are wanting, much less willing to follow what the Torah says. It also does not help that I am Disabled and rely on public transit to get around in my area.

I also currently have another problem health -wise. Back in mid-December, I was admitted into the hospital because of an infection I had it my right foot and heal. I currently have a ‘golf ball’ sized hole in my right heal. When I went into the hospital, the doctors said I had between a 60-75% chance of losing my right foot due to the infection. When I discharged this had dropped to about a 30% chance. As a result, I am mostly home-bound atm. This means that even if I did find somewhere to worship, I am going to have a hard time going there.

I just do not have anyone I can rely on in my area that can help me stay the path and help me to be accountable. I would not mind trying to set up an online meet using Skype, Google Hangouts or something like that to try and solve this little problem. I live in Tacoma, WA if anyone was wondering.

I ask that Y’all keep me in your prayers. May YHVH bless you and keep you. May YHVH make His face to shine upon you. May YHVH grant you His Shalom and give you peace.

Thank you for taking the time to read my note.

    Shalom to everyone from Switzerland

My name is Beatrice and I am excited that Keith started this initiative.

It is my forth post, but the previous three times it didn’t work…. So I examine first, whether things work out now or not. If it does, I shall write a few more lines… 

      Okay….finally I found out what went wrong… hm…anyway…
      So why am I interested?

I love the Torah- and the Prophet pearls by Keith, Nehemia and Jono. Their interaction have given me so many helpful insights already. The opportunity to exchange with more people who might also be familiar with the teaching material of BFA or Nehemiaswall is what attracts me most. I was especially excited to see some few people within Europe. …who knows… maybe there is even sometime a get together…?!

This much about myself. Wishing you all life changing and touching insights, as we go throuth “the Book” together. 🙂

Well…I was excited about my “neighbours” in Germany, the Brown couple. And glad to see that meanwhile there is some more folks from Europe. 🙂

I am really thankful to Keith to have set up this plattform. Looking forward to further exchange.

May Yehowah bless you and guide us all with/in His Hesed ve’Emet (grace and truth).

Odd… I posted a Roll Call introduction and it isn’t here.
Anyhoo… Angie Ryan here from a little known spot of South Central Ohio called Hide-a-way Hills.
Looking at all of the posts, it feels like a United Nations blog summit. So many diverse paths, and nations/states represented. I look forward to growing and learning with and from everyone.
If you are in the Ohio area reach out and let me know what you are doing for a Torah Shabbat fellowship group and what is happening in our own area.

    Happy New Year to everyone!

    Greetings folks!

WOW!!!>>> Just reading through these posts I am convinced that we are truly a “United Nations” gathering and proof that the message and awakening from the Spirit is reaching to all corners of the world!!

Just checking in from a little place called “Hide-a-way Hills Ohio”. Not quite and hour outside of Columbus.

I am looking forward to studying the TAnach this year with all of you.
I have and will continue to also do a daily/weekly study with Dr Tom Bradford at http://www.torahclass.com. His work is amazing and I am working chapter by chapter through the Original testament and completed his New testament studies in Acts and Romans. He is currently doing Revelations ( we are up to the 12th chapter) I highly recommend HIM as well if you are wanting the nitty gritty of the Hebrew origins in a pretty unbiased and straightforward teaching.

    Looking forward to great dialogue.
    See you on the threads

Thank you, Keith, and everyone behind the scenes who made it possible for us to have this platform. Now we can grow in wisdom and knowledge; reading, asking questions, sharing, and discussing, with others whose heart’s-desire is to know and love YeHoVaH and His Torah more each day.
JeHoVah ~ We are confident that Your Torah will not return to You without accomplishing what You sent it to do. Bless us with Your grace (the desire and the power to do Your will). HalleluYah! Amen

  • I live in Clayton, NC and am always interested in anything Yehovah has to say.

  • I live in Clayton, NC and am always interested in the words of Yehovah.

  • I was very excited to begin this adventure with you. In fact, I did not realize we were waiting until January to begin, so I simply continued on in my daily reading, checking the resource page to see what was offered for where I was in my studies. I had not reviewed the whole PDF of the reading plan until I received my copy of The Israel Bible and realized it is only the Tanakh. I then checked the PDF and realized it is, again, only the Tanakh. I was expecting this adventure to not only enlarge my understanding of the Tanakh but also to expand the background and life of the scriptures written about Yeshua during and after His time here on earth.

    December 17, 2018 at 7:50 pm  /

Shalom Chaverim! Rob Scarborough for Jacksonville, FL, USA checking in.

I was raised in a large Christian denomination where the obvious focus was always on the “New Testament.” I tried and tried to begin reading my Bible starting at the beginning but would get to about Exodus then lose interest and set it aside. About 2 1/2 years ago I came to the realization that Yehovah’s instructions are not “only for the Jews.” They are still important to follow and relevant even to us “Christians.” About the same time I found a translation of Scripture that restored the Hebrew names in their correct pronunciations. Discovering both of those things at the same time really made The Word come to life for me and I haven’t been able to put it down. I can only say that Yehovah has given me a hunger for His Word that I’ve never had before.

Along that journey I also came across the Open Door series on Youtube and began following Keith’s and Nehemiah’s teachings. I have been going through the Torah Pearls and Prophet Pearls each week this year following the Torah portion and have learned so much! All of that finally has led me here… Maybe the newest member of BFA International and the Book Readers Club but super excited to be involved.

  • Hi everybody, this is Evelin from Germany. A new year is about to begin and it’s nice to get it started with the right mindset.

  • Hi my name is Julie Ojemhen,I’m form Newcastle upon Tyne in England But work in London as a Nanny . I once asked for a bible study in a church I asked the Vicar there if maybe there was a group I could join and told him that I wanted to know God , he told me no one was really interested but if ever a large enough group in that church showed an interest that he would let me know . I began studying my self and discovered that what was written in the Bible didn’t match with what was taught in the church and even holy days or holidays were different when I discussed this with the vicar I was told not to talk to the members of that group that even high up men in the church didn’t understand . That was 26 years ago I have been on a journey ever since I believe that Yehovah is separating the mixed seed tares and wheat in the field in preparation for the return of His Sons return and knowing His word is imperative to our overcoming …. A good understanding have all those who keep his commandments ….. let’s get ready guys

Hello from Ona, WV. Charlie and I are so excited to be part of what you are doing. We have a fellowship in our home every Sabbath. We plan to encourage all of them in joining us, as well.

  • Greetings, everyone! I currently live in the Dallas, Texas area but am originally from West Virginia. I am thrilled to be a part of this book club with other individuals who want to learn and grow without the chains of tradition or any systematic oppression (however well-intended). YeHoVaH’s word is the authority. We may have different opinions and perspectives, and I’m glad we can all respect one another. In the end, we are all answerable to the Almighty and not to each other. Because I believe most of us embrace this, I’m excited to reflect on God’s word with this group! Truth is not a relative concept brokered by socio-cultural-historical changes; nor is truth found in any particular denomination/sect. Truth is found only in the One who was, is, and will be!

And thank you, Keith, for devoting your time to starting this group as we grow in faith and humility towards the truth of God’s word!

    Hello,

I live in the heart of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley nestled in the Rockies of southwestern Montana.

My interest in participating in the book club is because I love the idea of reading the Tanakh with a group of people. I attend a fellowship each week where we follow a Torah reading schedule that includes small portions of the prophets and a small portion of the gospels, so even though I have read the Torah at least 5 times over with a group of people I have felt the lack of reading the entire Tanakh with a group of people.

This is an exciting journey to be on I look forward to hearing from and getting to know each of you!

One cool thing is for times my hands are doing other task I can listen on biblegateway, Only downside is in KJV old and new and I think NIV. There is a version there I like that some may want to use if they are unable to purchase the beautiful bible recommended. Yehovah Be With You All
    Shalom Everyone

This is a great idea, reading out the scriptures together. Even better to study ideas and comments on all of the different viewpoints. Sounds like fun.

  • Deboah of course you are welcome in the Readers of the Book Club. We will have people from diverse backgrounds of belief dialoging here. Our focus will be on the “Big Book” in this forum. We will look forward to getting many perspectives on the Book as this process develops!

Shalom! I am from the Memphis, TN area. I embrace the Hebrew Bible and the Brit Hadasha. I believe Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son of God, and God Himself as declared in Isaiah 9:6. (By no means was Isaiah’s son “Almighty God” or “Everlasting Father.”) Will I be welcomed in this group? Deborah

    • Deborah, Of course you are welcome in the Readers of the Book Club! We are going to have a diverse group of people dialoging regarding the Book. The key will be to keep the dialogue on the Big Book!

      Shalom and welcome, Debora!

What I love about studying the Hebrew Scriptures in their original language, history, and context and doing my best to ignore the traditional doctrines of interpretation I’ve been exposed to is the clarity my “new” understanding brings to what Yeshua and his followers said. It’s quite the adventure!

      Shalom.

Shalom, fellow readers. Dawn Marie checking in from Cortez, Colorado or “tiny town America” as I like to call this special little jewel in the Rocky Mountains.

I am so excited to be a part of this group of people who love Yehovah and aren’t afraid to go beyond the boundaries of tradition, who will stand against the “spiritual border police” and their “hounds of hell”, and who will do whatever it takes to understand our Father’s word in its original language, history, and context.

As a Gentile I am overcome with awe that our Father planned for me and others not born into the people of Israel to be “grafted into” His chosen ones. This is part of His promise to Abraham (all nations would be blessed through/grafted into the nation born from him) and a fulfillment of prophecy and promise since Mt. Sinai. The “motley crowd” heard “Anohi Yehovah elohecha” as surely as Abraham’s decedents did, and I am simply overwhelmed with gratitude and wonder every single time I read the prophets mention “me”, a member of the nations who our Father would welcome into His “house of prayer”.

Even just typing that leaves me speechless before Him, and this is one of my favorite topics in “the Big Book”. I will forever be blown-away by His love, His grace, and His mercy.

Thank You, Yehovah for seeing us and for loving us, this “motley crowd” that loves you and wants to honor you. Thank you for bringing us together – as only the technology of the 21st century would allow – to learn from one another and to sharpen one another in love for You and for each other. Thank You for loving us and being gracious to us. Bless this next year with Your grace, and open our eyes to the wonderful hidden things of Your Torah.

  • What an exciting trip ahead! This will be a great study on the things we missed out on during our traditional belief system, as taught to us by our church fathers. Such as everywhere in the NT (New Testament) were it says the Word of God, Scripture, or even to study. What were the writers of these letters or dialogs meaning? Were they referring to the NT or the OT (Old Testament)? If we will use the gray matter between our ears and the leading of the Spirit of God, we would understand that, they were referring to the TANAKH (OT)! Paul told Timothy to study to show himself approved unto God (2 Timothy 2: 15), sense there was no NT at the time, he had to be referring to the TANAKH. Yeshua said to search the scriptures, he didn’t mean the Gospels, he meant the TANAKH, as he taught them according to the letter that Dr. Luke wrote (Luke 24: 44). Dig deep into the real treasures of God, and enjoy.

    Shalom Alechem!
I am originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, but currently live in North Texas. I am at awe
at how much you can learn every time you read the BOOK!
I am looking forward not only to the information, but the inspiration so that I can finally arrive at the revelation.
And one more thing, I am eager to learn so that I can share with my Spanish speaking brothers and sisters.

  • Hi! My name is (Mrs) Donna McAdams and I’m from North Providence, Rhode Island. I think this will be more than an adventure for me. I’ve been listening to the Scriptures, Torah Pearls, and Prophet Pearls since the beginning of the new Biblical calendar year so exploring God’s Word together and how we can apply it to our lives will be an answer to prayer. Yehovah knows what He’s doing having me and all of us here so let the adventure begin.
    Shalom!

    Shalom Everyone

Interesting as to what Mr. Johnson has recently come up with… I’m on my 5th re-read of the Torah… but just this year I went and divided up the Prophets and the Renewed Covenant scriptures into 54 sections which I read each weekend. I just did portion #35 on this past Sabbath. I will still take to task Mr. Johnsons challenge! 🙂 And Mr. Johnson… I use the formality of your last name out of respect for my elders… the way I was raised

  • Hello all. I am from Washington state. I am excited to be part of a group who wants to read The Book.

  • Shalom Barbra. Great to hear you are part of this!

  • Shalom Keith!
Bibi Terry here. I’m very excited to be a participant and can hardly wait to begin! It would be nice to see other members of the Red Letter Tour participating as well.
My interest lies primarily in getting to know who my heavenly Father is… not just knowing about Him. .. by who HE says He is. The Book is the only standard by which to accurately gauge, IMO.

    • Shalom Bibi,

Your Heartfelt Desire to “Experience our Abba Father YHVH as He is, not how we have been taught to think Him to be”, brings Great Joy to my being!

Feeling like you will Enjoy an Experience Encountered at a recent “Lessons in Love” Gathering with some friends.

During a discussion on how our Abba Father YHVH communicates with us and when the Scriptures were written, nine-year-old Wren asked,

“What did people do before the Scriptures were written?”

(Answer – “They came to Me.”)

“Out of the mouths of babes He has Perfected His Praise!”

Spirit and Word – which are One – Serving as our Beacon of Encouragement & Support and Inspiration & Confirmation on our Eternal Journey of Love and Truth.
