(Summary of Joshua Chapters 1-24) The Book of Joshua is about the Yisraelites final able to go into the promised land. They faced many challenges one of many was the City of Yericho, which with the help of Yahoova they literally brought the walls of the city down. After the city fell Ai the ruler of Yericho sent 3,000 soldiers to go find the Yisrealites and kill them. But because the Nation of Yisreal had sinned they were not going to be able to defend against the incoming attack. Because of this Yahoova told them to go a purifie them selfs, so the did. Then Yahoova told them to send all their men who were able to fight against Ai. Even though the army was smaller than Ai’s Yahoova was on there side so the Yisrealites won. After that, they traveled east and once again fought against another king and one. Then we learn about all the nations that the Yisrealite pass through. Then when we do get to ht promised land we learn about how the land was to be divided between the 12 tribes. This is a very brief summary of the book of Joshua.

The People of Yisreal wanted water so they keep bugging Moshe about it when they come across a rock Moshe hits. But he does he did not hit it because Yahoova said that he could, or because he had a good feeling in his heart, he did it because he was frustrated. Because of this Yahoova told Moshe that he would not get to see the promised land. This shows that you should not do thing out of anger of frustration. And if you do feel angry of frustrated ask Yahoova what to do.

  • In chapter 9 of Numbers Hashem tells Moshe to tell the Israelites to offer a offering on the day of Pesach.

  • In Number/Bandbar we see the bloodlines of Yireals, And how the tabernacle was to be run. WE also learn about all the rules and others about how to deal with bodily fluids and other things.

  • In chapter 7 of Numbers we see that in response to their work, Moshe gave the Gershonites two carts and four oxen, and the Meratites four carts and eight oxen.

  • In chapter 5 of Numbers Hashem told Moshe to speak to the people of Israel that anyone who has a discharge or is defiled by a dead corpse, man and woman alike, should be removed from the camp.

  • In Numbers chapter 4 Hashem spoke to Moshe saying that he was to take a census of the Kohatites among the Leviim and that the Kohatites had a special job: taking care of the most sacred objects int he Tent of Meeting.

  • In chapter 2 of Numbers, Hashem tells Moshe that the camp of Israel should surround the Tent of Meeting and then goes on to tell Moshe who all and where they should camp near the Tent.

  • In chapter 27 it talks about renewing vows. I’m a little confused on how this works. What about you guys?

  • In chapter 27 of Leviticus Hashem tells Yisrael the amount they are to give if they want to redeem a vow. For example: if the vow is concerning a male of 26 years of age the amount payed should be fifty shekalim of silver by the sanctuary weight.

  • In chapter 25 of Leviticus Hashem tells Yisrael that their land will also have a Sabbath. Fro 6 years they can work the land and harvest everything they need but on the seventh year the people of Yisrael are supposed to let the land rest and when the year ends they are allowed to work the land again.

  • In chapter 23 of Leviticus Hashem tells the people of Yisrael that work is to be done 6 days of the week but on the 7th day you must rest because it is a holy Sabbath day created by Hashem.

  • In chapter 20 of Leviticus Hashem tells Moshe to tell Yisrael that anyone who gives their offspring to Molech will be cut off from the people of Yisrael and should be stoned to death (pelted with rocks).

  • In chapter 17 Hahem tells Moshe to tell Yisrael that if any man kills a sheep or goat in the camp or out of the camp, and does not bring it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting as an offering he shall be cut off from the people of Yisrael.

  • In chapter 15 Hashem tells Moshe that if any man had discharged he is to be unclean and any man who touches the man who had the discharge will also be unclean. They are to wash their clothes and bathe in water until sunset.

  • I chapter 14 Hashem tells Moshe what is to be done if a leper no longer has the disease. The Kohen is to go out and meet the leper and if he sees that the leper has been cleansed of the disease he must order 2 clean birds, cedar wood, crimson stuff, and hyssop. One of the birds he will kill and the live bird, crimson stuff, and cedar wood will be dipped in the blood of the dead bird.

  • In today’s reading, we learn about all the Festivals/Feast that the Yisrilates are to preforms. I think that they are all pretty cool. But some of my favorites are Peshac/Passover and Sukkot/ Feat of tabernacles. What about you guys.

  • Not only are there rules for sacrifices on how to deal with sickness there are also rule form marriage and reproduction. I think that all these rules are amazing and should be followed no matter what.

  • It’s a good thing Yahoova has all these ways if letting us become clean again or a lot of us would be unclean all the time.

  • I find it amazing that Yahoova gave us all these instructions on how to live. All of them are protecting our well being. The instruction range from what to eat to how to deal with sick people.

  • In chapter 13 of Leviticus Hahem tells Moshe that if a rash appears on someone and it becomes scaly it should be reported to the Kohen and the Kohen should inspect it. If the hair near the rash turns white of the infection seems to be deeper then the skin it is to bw considered leprous.

  • In chapter 12 of Leviticus Hashem tells Moshe to tell the people of Israel that when a woman gives birth she will be unclean for seven days and on the eighth day she is to circumcise the flesh of her son.

  • In chapter 8 a and 9 of Leviticus we hear more about the offerings that Hashem commanded Moshe to make with Aahron.

  • I thought it was pretty cool that Moshe and Ahron did what Yahoova said regarding the sacrifices. What about you guys.

  • I thought that all the rituals of the burnt offerings, the meal offerings, the sin offering ,the guilt offerings, offering if ordination, and the of well being are all really important. I wonder what it would be like if we did those offerings today.

  • In chapters 6 and 7 of Leviticus Hashem is telling Moshe the rituals for burnt and guilt offerings and telling him to convey this to the Israelites. What do you think the Israelites felt when they heard this commandment?

  • I thought it was interesting that there are different types of sacrifice. Like the guilt Offerings. What about you guys?

  • In chapter 5 of Leviticus Hahem tells Moshe to tell the people of Israel that if they realize their guilt after doing a sinful deed they were to bring a female from their flock to the Kohen to sacrifice as a guilt offering so that their sin will not define them.

  • In Leviticus 1-3 Hashem is giving the people of Israel instructions for how to give and what kinds of offerings to give to Him. For example in chapter 2 Hashem tells the Israelites that when someone presents an offering of meal to Him that they should make it from flour, pour oil on it, and so forth.

  • In Exodus chapter 40 Hahem tells Moshe to, on the first day of the first month, set up the Mishkan of the Tent of Meeting. After he sets up the Mishkan he is to anoint all the things with it and then anoint Aron and his sons.

  • I thought it was pretty cool that there are specific rule to sacrifice animals! What about you guys?

  • Why do you think that Yahoova choose Smoke to lead the Yisrealites through the day ans Fire for the night?

  • In Exodus chapters 37 and 38 we are given instructions on how the ark was made with acacia wood and golden overlaying it.

  • In chapter 36 of Exodus Moshe relayed to the Israelites the commandments that Hashem had given to them about the sabbath. Six days they would work but on the seventh day they would rest.

  • In Exodus chapter 32 when Moshe was up in the mountain for so long the Israelites grew anxious and went to Aharon and asked him to make them a god. In response Aharon told told all the Israelites to give him all of their gold things and he molded them into a golden calf for the people to worship.

  • Is it just me or dose it seem that keeping the Sabbath ( Shabbot, Shabbos) is important. This will be the fourth time referencing the Shabbot. This first time is after the Yisrealites leave Egypt and they get the Mana and Yahoova said that there will be no more Mana on Shabbot. The second time is when Moshe was on Mont Synai and got the ten commandments, the fourth commandment. The third time is when Moshe went back up to get the instructions for the Tent of meting also called the Tabernacle. The fourth time is when Moshe gets instructions for what to put in the Tabernacle. What do you guys think about this?

  • Today we learned about the Golden bull. Do you think the Yisreialtes planed to make the idol a bull, or do you think it was just a random thought?

  • Hey guys sorry I didn’t post yesterday.Anyways two very important things happened in today’s reading . Chapter 20 0f Shemot/Exodus is arguable one of the most important chapter in Shemot because in this chapter we learn about the ten Commandment. In chapters 7-9 of Shemot Hashem tells Moshe to tell Pharaoh to set the Israelites free several times and each time Pharaoh refused. Whenever Moshe came to Pharaoh he told him that if he would not set them free he would bring plagues to Egypt yet Pharaoh still refused. First Hashem turned Aharon’s rod into a serpent, second he turned the Nile and all Egypt’s water sources to blood and killed all the fish, then he sent an abundance of frogs to swarm Egypt, then he sent lice to every household, then he killed all of Egypt’s livestock (leaving the Israelites’s livestock untouched), the he caused boils to break out on every beast and person in Egypt, then he brought heavy hail to Egypt that killed every slave and livestock left outside.

In chapter 5 and 6 of Shemot Hashem tells Moshe to go speak with Pharaoh and demand him to set the Israelites free. The first time Moshe spoke to Pharaoh, he stubbornly declined and after Moshe left he ordered his workers to make the amount of work the Israelites did more abundant by taking away the straw they use to make bricks. When Hashem told Moshe to go back again Moshe appealed to him and said that since even the Israelites wouldn’t listen to him why would Pharaoh?

  • In today’s reading it talks we learn about Mana. Yahoova gave it to the Yirealite to eat. What do you think it was like. What do you think it taste like.

  • Once again the Yirsrealite got into a sticky sittiation and Yahoova brought them out if it. After Pharaoh let the Yisrilates go e soon changed his mind and sent his army to go after them. They chased them to the edge of the Red seas where Pharaohs army thought they trapped them. Then Yahoova told Moshe to lift his rod toward the sea the water would part creating dry land for them to pass through. And Moshe did waht Yahoova said and the sea split and there was dry land to walk on. The Yirsrealite walked to the other side but when Pharaohs army tried the sea came back to gather and drowned them. What do you guy think about this.

  • I found it pretty interesting that the last plague was the angle of death. And the only way for there house hold not o be affected by the plague you had to do what Yahoo said. You had to kill a lamb and eat it then but it blood on the door post so that when Yahoova saw it he would Passover the house protecting it from the Angle of Death. This just show that even death has no power over Yahoova.

In Shemot chapter 3 Moshe sees a blazing bush that is not being consumed when Hashem calls to him and tells him to remove the sandals from his feet for the place where he stood was holy ground. The Hashem told Moshe to go to Egypt and tell Pharaoh to free the Israelites.

  • Yahoova told Moshe and Aharon to got tell Pharaoh to let Yahoovas people go but Pharaoh would not. After Pharaoh would say no Yahoova would send a plague to Egypt that affected all everyone in Egypt escape Yahoova s people. This happens many time, it even got to a time in witch Pharaoh said if he saw Moshe again he would kill him. After Pharaoh said this Yahoova said that he had one more plague for Egypt. What do you think that last Plague is?

  • In today’s reading we see that Yahoova told Moshe and Aharon to go to Pharaoh and tell him to let his people go. Pharaoh says no and Moshe did what Yahoova told him to do and cast his rod down turning it into a snake. Then Pharaoh magicians cast there rods down and they became snakes two then Moshes Snake ate all of the magicians snakes. Proving that mankind can try in mmitate Yahoova but no one can match him.

  • In today’s reading Moshe and Aharon went to Pharaoh telling him to let Yahoova’s people go,but Pharaoh would not. In fact after Aharon and Moshe left Pharaoh told the Yisriltes to make the same amount of bricks but without any straw. They were not able to so the Yisrilites got beat more than usual. So Moshe asked Yahova why he was yet to deliver his people from Egypt. In response Yahoova said “You shall soon see what I will do to Pharaoh: he shall let them go because of a greater might; indeed, because of a greater might he shall drive them from his land.”. This means that Yahoova is going to do something to Pharaoh so horrible that he will have no chose to let them go. What do you think that something is going to be?

  • In today’s reading we are faced with a very serious question. Shemot/Exodus 4:22-26, who is Yahoova referring to when it says At a night encampment on the way encountered him and sought to kill him. Some leading theories are Pharaohs first born son, Moshe, and Moshe’s first born son. Who do you guys think he was referring to.

  • Today we start reading the second book in the Torah and Tanakh Shemot/ Exodus. Let’s get started. In today’s reading we learn that after Yisrael and his sons passed away the offspring of the 12 sons were in the land of Egypt. They were there for many generations. One day a Pharaoh noticed that there were more Yirsealites than his own people. So he ordered to kill all the male Hebrew newborns and let the girls live. This caused wide panic and chaos with soldiers coming into peoples houses to kill their male children. But one family got word of Pharaohs plan and took there son and put him in a basket and then put him in the river so that he may have a chance to live. The mother of the child sent one of here maids to follow the basket to make sure that nothing bad happened to it. On that same day the Pharaohs princess was bathing in the river and noticed a the basket she took the basket and opened into to find a baby boy in it. She took it to the Pharaoh and asked of she could raise it. The Pharaoh granted her wish and she immediately looked for someone to take care of him when she was not there. The maid who was following the basket said she knew a woman who could help and brought the baby’s mother there. The princess granted her wish and the mother began to watch the boy and tech him the ways of his people. The baby’s name Moshe meaning I drew him out of the water. And this is his story.

In Exodus chapter 2 we see the mother of Moshe putting Moshe into a basket and sending him down the Nile in hopes that someone would find him and save him from death since he is a male. Presently the daughter of Pharaoh found him in the Nile and when his sister saw this she asked the daughter if she would like her to get a Hebrew nurse. She said yes and the sister went to fetch Moshe’s mother. When Moshe grew up his mother brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter who took him in as her son. This is an example of kindness in a situation where it is hard to give. Even though the daughter knows that her father wants to execute all Hebrew males she can’t bring herself to murder this innocent child. We should all strive to do what is right even if it means making difficult decisions. (Of course it should follow Torah as well.)

  • In the final days of his life Yisrael called his 12 sons to him so that he could bless them before he passed away. The blessing he gave them promised fertility and wealth and the 12 sons descendants became enough for tribes. Yosef’s brothers also thought that Yosef was still angry with them and was going to punish them for his actions but they soon found out that Yosef forgave them long ago and that he had no intention of hurting them.

  • When Pharaoh heard about Yosef and his family he showed favor for Yosef by letting them stay in Egypt during the drought. His only request was that when harvesting time came around that they gave Egypt 1/5 of their harvest. Would you make this deal if it meant helping those you love?

  • In chapters 44-45 we see Yosef testing his brothers to see if they will remember him and then revealing to them the truth. After revealing the truth he sends many rations back home with his brothers and in the end of chapter 45 we see Yisrael telling his sons to take him to his youngest son before he dies. This is a representation of how family should be. No matter what has happened you are family and you must always be there for one another no matter what.

  • Looks like we are on the last chapter of Bereishit/Genesis.Tomorrow we will be diving into Shemot/Exodus the second book of the Tanakh and the second book of the Torah. Let’s get into the reading. Before Israel dies he gives blessing to each of his 12 children. Latter we learn that the blessing he gave them correlate to what each tribe of Yisrael actually do. When Yisrael does die they take him and barrie him in Canaan. After they barrie him the 11 other brothers think that Yosef will try to harm them now that there father is dead. So they go confront him and it turns out that Yosef forgave them along time ago. This will conclude our reading in Bereishit. What do you guys think about this book.

  • I find it interesting that Pharaoh let Yosef family stay in the the land of Egypt. I think that it was pretty cool that Pharaoh’s only request was when the harvest season came that they would asked him ⅕ of their harvest. Do you think it would be different if they went somewhere else

  • Hey guys looks like I went ahead of the reading yesterday. I guess I was just excited to read the story of Yosef. I just found it interesting that Yahoova put Yosef through all thoses trial so that he could make sure his family would be taken care of. What do you guys think about the reading so far?

During the 7 years of famine Yosef’f brothers came to Egypt in search of rations. When they came to Yosef, Yosef pretended to be a stranger to them because they did not recognize him. He told them to leave their youngest brother with him then take rations back home then come back to retrieve their brother to prove they are not spies.

In Bereishit chapter 41 Pharaoh has a dream about 7 healthy cows and 7 sickly cows. The sickly cows ate the healthy cows then Pharaoh woke up. When Pharaoh fell asleep the again he had the same dream except this time there were 7 healthy grains and 7 sickly grains,After his servants failed to correctly interpret the dream Pharaoh called Yosef to him and Yosef was able to explain the meaning of his dream. Because of this Pharaoh made Yosef part of his court and he became an important man,

  • Today we learned the land were Yosef family were staying got affected by the Famine. So they did what anyone would do in a situation like this. Yisrael sent his sons to go find a land that had plenty of food and bring some of it back with them. Eventually they came across Egypt the only place not affected by the famine because Yosef interpreted the dream that Pharaoh had. The brother went to Yosef and asked then for food but they didn’t realize that they were talking to the brother they sold to the Egyptians. But Yosef knew who they were. So after they asked for food he put them through some test. I guess it was his way of getting back at them. Eventually he reviled who he was and the brother went back and brought there father and they lived in Egypt for a long time. I guess that there was something good underneath all those trials.

  • In today’s reading learn that Pharaoh had a dream and was very concerned about it. He was so concerned that he summed all his magicians and readers of dream to try and tell him what his dream was about. But none of them could tell him what his dream was about. Then his cup barrier told him about Yosef and how he was able to read his dreams and they came true. So the Pharaoh took him out of prison and asked him to read his dream. Pharaoh told Yosef his dream and Yosef told him what it meant. Yosef said there will be 7 years of plenty where your land will be fruitful then there will be 7 years after the fruitful years and in those years there will be full of famines across the lands. So in order to prepare for it you will have to save some food in the 7 years of plenty so that when the 7 years of famine come you and your people will be alright. When Pharaoh heard this he did as Yosef said and made him the second most powerful man in Egypt. I guess Yahoova had a plan for Yosef even though he didn’t see it yet.

  • In today’s story we learn that Yosef got sold to an Egyptian. The Egyptian saw that yosef was a good servant and gave him power over his other slaves. Then his wife saw that Yosef was very handsome and she wanted him to sleep with him.But Yosef keep turning her down. Then one day she came up to Yosef and asked to sleep with her. She grabbed his coat and tried to coax him into sleeping with her. When she did this Yosef quickly took of his coat and ran outside the house. Then latter when Yosef’s higher up came back and she told him that Yosef rapped her and when he heard this he trough him into a prison cell. It seem like all theses bad thing are happening to him. Why do you think that Yahoova is letting all theses bad things happen.

In chapter 39 we read that Yosef was sold to a master in Egypt but because Hashem was with Yosef and he out success into everything that Yosef did the master took a liking to Yosef and out him in charge of his household. Because of this Hashem blessed the house for Yosef’s sake. This a example of the blessing of Yahova’s hand. If you wish to earn his hand you must follow the commandments he has layed out for you. It’s really not that hard.

In Bereishit chapter 37 we read that because Yosef was Yisrael’s youngest child, Yisrael loved him the most. This made his older brothers jealous and hate him. After finding out that Yosef had the ability to read dreams the brothers were set over the edge and took drastic measures to earn their fathers’ favor. They through him into a pit, sold Yosef to a trader, then slaughtered a kid (baby goat) and covered Yosef’s robe in its blood. This is an example of what jealousy can do and is a subtle way of telling us that jealousy is evil and we should avoid it at all costs.

In Bereishit chapter 35 after Yaakov went to Beit El Hashem appeared to Yaakov ina dream and changed his name to Yisrael then told Yisrael that his descendants would be a great nation. This all further proof that if you trust in Yahova and do what he has command you, you will be blessed greatly even if it doesn’t feel like it.

  • In today’s reading we learn about one of Yisrial’s son (Yaakov), Yosef. We learn that Yosef had the ability to read dreams. This caused his brothers to be jellouis. One day Yisriel made yosef a coat of many color witch made his brother even more jealous. One day he told Yosef to go find his brothers. His brothers say him out in the field and planed a way to kill him. On of the brother said that was to harsh and decided they just detain him. So when Yosef got there they through him in a well. Then they saw some people selling slaves and they sold Yosef to them. Why do you think Yahoova let this happen?

  • So in today’s reading we learn Yaakov’s name got changed to Yisrael. I don’t know if it’s just me but it seem that all the people who have a covenant with Yahoova get their names changed. Why do you think this happens. Is it because Yisrael and his sons are a precursor to the land of Yisrael we learn about latter, or for some other reason. Please let me know in the comments.

In Bereishit chapter 34 Shechem, son of Hamor, laid with Dina, daughter of Yaakov, against her will. Later he came to the house of Yaakov and asked him and his sons to give Dina to him as a bride. They refused saying that it would be wrong to give over their sister to an uncircumcised man from an uncircumcised family. Does this mean that all men must be circumcsised?

In Bereishit chapters 32-33 Yaakov is told that his brother Esau is looking for him. Because of their past Yaakov assumed that Esau was coming to kill him for taking both his birthright and his blessing. In the end Esau was really just looking for Yaakov so that he could join him on his journey. This is an example of how important it is not to jump to conclusions.

In Bereishit chapters 30-31 Yaakov’s father-in-law cheats him out of payment by going through his flock and removing all the speckled and dark furred goats/sheep. This situation happens in modern times as well. Businessman or people of power cheat people out of what is rightfully theirs. What do you all think of this?

  • In today’s reading we learn that Yaakov got word that Esau his brother was coming through the land they were traveling, In Yaakov’s mind Esau was there to kill him and every thing with him. So he split all his whole camp into two different camps. He sent one camp one direction and told them if we get attack to flee and run as far as they could. After he sent the camp away to wait he sent some gifts from his camp to Esau’s camp to try and calm him down. After he sent them to his camp Yaakov he followed behind him. When he reached his camp he begged for Easu to spare him. But turns out he was looking for Yaakov so he could join him and his journey to Succoth. So in short make sure you know why a possible enemy is coming to talk to you.

  • I find it kind of funny how people will try to cheat you out of something but it backfires on them. For example in Genesis/Bereishit 30-31 we learn the Yaakov was told that he would get paid based on how many sheep and goats had speckled or dark fur. In this story we learn that Yaakov father in law goes through his flock and removes all the sheep/goat the have spekaled or dark fur. The we learn that Yaakov had a dream about this very situation. In that dream he hears Yahoova saying your father on law will say you will get paid by how many dark and spotted sheep/goat you have and vice versa. Then after he has this dream Yaakov take the sheep/ goats and took them to the rods and mated them so they would produces speckled sheep/goats. While all this was happening Yaakov’s father in law thought he was not going to have to pay Yaakov and he would stay with him four more years to pasture his flock. But as you all know this did not happen. In short people can try to mess with you but they cant mess with Yahoova.

  • In Bereishit chapter 28 Elohim appears to Yaakov in a dream and when Yaakov wales up he makes the place he slept a sanctified place of Hashem. Do you think this place will have significance in the future?

  • Is it just me or does it seem that the people that Yahoova made a covenant with stress a lot about their sons getting a wife. For example Avraham wanted Yitzchak to have a wife but not a wife from the surrounding nations. He wanted to make sure Yitzchak wife was from his home land. And now Yitzchak wants to make sure that Yaakov get a wife but Yitzchak doesn’t want he to be from with in the land they are in but instead from Avrahams homeland. This may be because the women of the surrounding nations are wicked and evil women. Another reason may be because these women do not believe in Yahoova and might lead their husbands or even there children aways from Yahoova . Why do you think that fathers want to make sure there children have good wives?

Hey guys sorry I didn’t post yesterday for some reason it just slipped my mind, anyways I hope you all had a good Shabbos and lets get to the reading. Yesterday’s reading was in chapter 24 in this chapter we learned that Avraham wanted to get Yitzchak a wife, so he sent one of his servants to go find Yitzchak one.Avraham had some rules when finding Yitzchak a wife. They were not allowed to be from the land of Canaanites, this was because all of them women there were unholy and did not fear Yahoova. Instead she was to be from where Avraham was born (Norah). The reason he gave his servent these instructions was to make sure that Yitzchak was going to have a wife that feared Yahoova and was going to love him. Now when the the servant got to Norah he did not know were he was going to find a wife for Yitzchak so he did what all of us should do when we don’t know what to do, he prayed. You all know the rest of the story the servant found a wife for Yitzchak and they went back to Avraham’s land and Yitzchak saw Rivka. When rivka saw Yitzchak he asked the servant who he and he told her he was Yitzchak son of Avraham. When the servant told her this she covered her head symbolizing that Yitzchak was her husband.

Then in chapter 25 we learn that Rivka was barren and could not have kids. So Rivka prayed to Yahoova asking him to please give her children . When Yahoova heard this he told her that there were two nations in side her womb. One of them shall be mightier than the other and the older one shall serve the younger child. Then when it came for Rivka to give birth she had twins. The first child came out of Rivka’s womb covered in red hair so they named him Esau. Then the younger brother came out of the womb holding the heel of Esau so they named him Yaakov. The we learn that when they got older that Esau became a hunter and Yaakov became a keeper of the camp. One day Esau came in from the field starving and said to Yaakov give me some of that stew for I am famished. In response Yaakov said first give me you birthright. Birthright were given to the oldest son and they got all of the father possessions when the father died. Anyways back to the story. When Esau heard this he said I have no use for my birthright anyways for I am at the point of death. The Yaakov told him to swear that he would give it to him so he did. And when he did he gave him the stew and just like that Esau’s birthright was gone.

In Bereishit chapter 27 we see Yaakov tricking Yitzchak into giving him his older brother’s blessing. He brought 2 kids from their field to his mother to cook and make a meal from then wore the skins of the kids so that he would feel hairy like his brother when his father touched him. Yitzchak was indeed fooled and gave Yaakov Easu’s blessing. What understanding did you all come to after reading this?

In Bereishit chapter 21 Avraham’s servant Hagar was on the brink of death and despair but in that time Elohim showed himself to her and took care of her and her son. This shows us that even in our darkest times Elohim is there for us and we can trust in him always.

Hey guys, all the chapters are starting to get more and more information adn I wont be able to cover it all. So from now on I will be covering at least one story that took place in the reading. I will also be trying a new formating styel

Todays stroy is going to take place in Genesis/ Bereishit 22:1-22 . In this we laern that Yahoova told Avraham to take his son and sacrifce him The next day Avraham took his son Yitzchak and went to the place he was to be sacrifsed. Now Yitzcahk didnt know what was going on he thougth that they were just going to make a regular old sacrifce. When they got to the place Avraham took all the suplies need to creat a mizbayach (Altar), well all but one thing. Yizchak new this and asked where was the lamb to be sacrifesed. And avraham responed Yahoova will provied one for us. I can hust imagen what was going on in Avraham’s head on the walk up the mountians. He was probley very sad and scared about what was going to happen to his son. Avraham was also probly thinking about the covent that Yahoova gave him. You know they one where he would be father of all nations, and his seeds were going to be like the dust on the earth. When they got to the top they set up the altar and when it was all set up he tied up Yitzchak and placed him on the altar. I can just imgaen what was goin on right now. Avraham probly had teiers running down his eyes as he picked up the knife to slay his son. It must of been hard for him to do that. But as he picked up the knife an angle came to him saying dont kill your son for now Yahoov knows you fear him. Can you imagen how relived Avraham must of been when he heared this.
Then Avraham looked up and saw that there was a ram stuck in a thicket of thorns. He took the ram and sacifeced it to Yahoova and becasue of this Yahoova blessed him and made sure that hishis desedents would be numoras. Saying Genesis/Bereishit 22:16-18 16 and said, “By Myself I swear, Hashem declares: Because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your favored one,17 I will bestow My blessing upon you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the sands on the seashore; and your descendants shall seize the gates of their foes.18 All the nations of the earth shall bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed My command.”.

  • In Bereishit chapter 19 Lot deals with the men of his city when they confront him about the men he brought to their city. Do you think that Lot’s attempt at handling it was good? How do you suppose you would have handled it?

  • 1/9/19

Hey guys the chapters aresarting to get more and more information and there is no way I will be able to cover everything. Like yesterday I will be covering one story instead of all 3 chapters. Yesterday in chapter 18 we learned that Yahoova was going to destroy Sodum and Gomora ( the place where Lot lives) because of all the evil thing they were doing. No when Yahoovs told Avram this he tied to get Yahoova to not destroy the city because Lot was living there. He pleaded and pleaded with him asking him if he would spare the city if there were 50 Yahoova fearing people there, he eventually got to spare the city for 10 people. Now in chapter 19 we hear the other side of the story.

We learned that two messengers came to Sodom and Lot asked them to join him in his house. At first they said that they would just sleep in the town square. But Lot coaxed them into joining them in his house. Then later that night the men of Sodom came to Lots house and shouted at his house saying bring us the two men that you took into your house tonight. Now keep in mind Lot and his family were the only people in Sodom who feared Yahoova and did what he said. The whole reason that the men wanted the two messenger to come out of the house was because they wanted to commit sexual immorality with them. Genesis 19:5-9 5 And they shouted to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may be intimate with them.”6 So Lot went out to them to the entrance, shut the door behind him,7 and said, “I beg you, my friends, do not commit such a wrong.8 Look, I have two daughters who have not known a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you please; but do not do anything to these men, since they have come under the shelter of my roof.”9 But they said, “Stand back! The fellow,” they said, “came here as an alien, and already he acts the ruler! Now we will deal worse with you than with them.” And they pressed hard against the person of Lot, and moved forward to break the door. The men were so desperate to get the men in the house that they started to push their way through the door. This is what happens next.Genesis/Bereishit 19:10-25 10 But the men stretched out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door.11 And the people who were at the entrance of the house, young and old, they struck with blinding light, so that they were helpless to find the entrance.12 Then the men said to Lot, “Whom else have you here? Sons-in-law, your sons and daughters, or anyone else that you have in the city—bring them out of the place.13 For we are about to destroy this place; because the outcry against them before Hashem has become so great that Hashem has sent us to destroy it.”14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Up, get out of this place, for Hashem is about to destroy the city.” But he seemed to his sons-in-law as one who jests.15 As dawn broke, the angels urged Lot on, saying, “Up, take your wife and your two remaining daughters, lest you be swept away because of the iniquity of the city.”16 Still he delayed. So the men seized his hand, and the hands of his wife and his two daughters—in Hashem‘s mercy on him—and brought him out and left him outside the city.17 When they had brought them outside, one said, “Flee for your life! Do not look behind you, nor stop anywhere in the Plain; flee to the hills, lest you be swept away.”18 But Lot said to them, “Oh no, my lord!19 You have been so gracious to your servant, and have already shown me so much kindness in order to save my life; but I cannot flee to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die.20 Look, that town there is near enough to flee to; it is such a little place! Let me flee there—it is such a little place—and let my life be saved.”21 He replied, “Very well, I will grant you this favor too, and I will not annihilate the town of which you have spoken.22 Hurry, flee there, for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Hence the town came to be called Zoar.23 As the sun rose upon the earth and Lot entered Zoar,24 Hashem rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah sulfurous fire from Hashem out of heaven.25 He annihilated those cities and the entire Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities and the vegetation of the ground. So in this passage we learn that the two messengers pulled Lot into his house blinding the crowd of people outside. They telling him that Yahoova was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and that they should leave. Lot went around his house trying to warn the, what was about to happen but the only people who would listen were his wife and his two daughters. Then they told them to go to the mountains. When Lot heard this he told Yahoova that he would not be able to make it to the mountains and asked if he could go to the nearest town and Yahoova granted his request and Lot and his family left. As they left he told them whatever you do don’t look back. As soon as they left Yahoova rained fire on Sodom and Gomorrah. This is what happened after that.Genesis/bereishit 19:26-30 26 Lot’s wife looked back, and she thereupon turned into a pillar of salt.27 Next morning, Avraham hurried to the place where he had stood before Hashem,28 and, looking down toward Sodom and Gomorrah and all the land of the Plain, he saw the smoke of the land rising like the smoke of a kiln.29 Thus it was that, when Hashem destroyed the cities of the Plain and annihilated the cities where Lot dwelt, Hashem was mindful of Avraham and removed Lot from the midst of the upheaval.30 Lot went up from Zoar and settled in the hill country with his two daughters, for he was afraid to dwell in Zoar; and he and his two daughters lived in a cave.
There is a good side to this story. In this story we learned that when Yahoova says something we have to do it. When Yahoova says don’t go back to something that you know is wrong. In short don’t turn yourself into a pillar of salt.

  • 1/8/19

Hey guys, todays reading has alot to cover so today I am only going to focuse on one story today.
In chapter 17 we learn that when Avram wa 95 years old Yahoova appeared to Avram and re interated that the covent he made with him still stands. He told Avram that his name would not be Avram anymore but Avramham. Genesis/Bereishit 17:4-14 4“As for Me, this is My covenant with you: You shall be the father of a multitude of nations.5 And you shall no longer be called Avram, but your name shall be Avraham, for I make you the father of a multitude of nations.6 I will make you exceedingly fertile, and make nations of you; and kings shall come forth from you.7 I will maintain My covenant between Me and you, and your offspring to come, as an everlasting covenant throughout the ages, to be Hashem to you and to your offspring to come.8 I assign the land you sojourn in to you and your offspring to come, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting holding. I will be their God.”9 Hashem further said to Avraham, “As for you, you and your offspring to come throughout the ages shall keep My covenant.10 Such shall be the covenant between Me and you and your offspring to follow which you shall keep: every male among you shall be circumcised.11 You shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and that shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and you.12 And throughout the generations, every male among you shall be circumcised at the age of eight days. As for the homeborn slave and the one bought from an outsider who is not of your offspring,13 they must be circumcised, homeborn, and purchased alike. Thus shall My covenant be marked in your flesh as an everlasting pact.14 And if any male who is uncircumcised fails to circumcise the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his kin; he has broken My covenant.”. In this not only do we learn that the covent that Yahoova made with Avraham still stand we learn what was need in order for keep teh covent to.We also learn that even if they were not his own flesh and blood that they also had to get circumzied. All the men in his house hold were not cercomsied, and if they wernt they were cut of from the house hold. Not only did Yahoova give him his rules for his covent but he also gave something to Sari.
Genesis/Bereishit 17:15-27 15 And Hashem said to Avraham, “As for your wife Sarai, you shall not call her Sarai, but her name shall be Sara.16 I will bless her; indeed, I will give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she shall give rise to nations; rulers of peoples shall issue from her.”17 Avraham threw himself on his face and laughed, as he said to himself, “Can a child be born to a man a hundred years old, or can Sara bear a child at ninety?”18 And Avraham said to Hashem, “O that Ishmael might live by Your favor!”19 Hashem said, “Nevertheless, Sara your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall name him Yitzchak; and I will maintain My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring to come.20 As for Ishmael, I have heeded you. I hereby bless him. I will make him fertile and exceedingly numerous. He shall be the father of twelve chieftains, and I will make of him a great nation.21 But My covenant I will maintain with Yitzchak, whom Sara shall bear to you at this season next year.”22 And when He was done speaking with him, Hashem was gone from Avraham.23 Then Avraham took his son Ishmael, and all his homeborn slaves and all those he had bought, every male in Avraham‘s household, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins on that very day, as Hashem had spoken to him.24 Avraham was ninety-nine years old when he circumcised the flesh of his foreskin,25 and his son Ishmael was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.26 Thus Avraham and his son Ishmael were circumcised on that very day;27 and all his household, his homeborn slaves and those that had been bought from outsiders, were circumcised with him.
In this Yahoova changed Sari’s name to Sara and said that she was going to have a son. When Avraham heard this he laughed and said can a child be born from a 100 year old man. Then Yahoova said that the childs name is going to Yitzchak (Isac). ANd when YAhoova finisehed talking to Avrham and Sara he just disappered. When Ayhoova left the first thing that Avraham did was circumzied all them men in his house hold.
Mabey we should be like Avraham. When Yahoova tells us to do something we should do it. Sometimes we might think its funny but it allways has a porpuse to Yahoova.

    Genesis/Bereishit 13-14

After Avram and Sarai left Egypt they traveled towards Negev with there cousin Lot. Now Avram had a lot of Cattle, Gold, and Silver witch made him very rich. When they got to Negev(Desert) they traveled to Beit El. They set up there tents in between two town, Beit El and Ai. What is cool is that prior to coming to Beit El he had made a mizbayach (Altar) there in the name of Yahoova. Now while they were there Avram and Lots shepherds and Cattlemen were arguing because the land was not able to support both their flocks. When Avram heard of this he went to Lot saying Genesis/Bereishit 13:8-9 8 Avram said to Lot, “Let there be no strife between you and me, between my herdsmen and yours, for we are kinsmen.
9 Is not the whole land before you? Let us separate: if you go north, I will go south; and if you go south, I will go north.” Just like that Avram told Lot that they were going to split up. This is what happen next. Genesis/Bereishit 13:10-18 10 Lot looked about him and saw how well watered was the whole plain of the Yarden, all of it—this was before Hashem had destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah—all the way to Zoar, like the garden of Hashem, like the land of Egypt. 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Yarden, and Lot journeyed eastward. Thus they parted from each other;12 Avram remained in the land of Canaan, while Lot settled in the cities of the Plain, pitching his tents near Sodom.13 Now the inhabitants of Sodom were very wicked sinners against Hashem.14 And Hashem said to Avram, after Lot had parted from him, “Raise your eyes and look out from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west,15 for I give all the land that you see to you and your offspring forever.16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring too can be counted.17 Up, walk about the land, through its length and its breadth, for I give it to you.”18 And Avram moved his tent, and came to dwell at the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Chevron; and he built a mizbayach there to Hashem.
Now let assess the situation. Lot got very beautiful land, it had a lot of farmland and room for hid animals. But it was full of people who did not believe in Yahoova. Avram got the not so pretty land that wasn’t very suitable for animals. But Yahoova said to Avram once again that he was going to make a nation out of his seed. He said that there numbers are going to be as much as the dust on the earth.
Now in chapter 14 we learn that there was a big conflict going on where 5 kings were fighting 4 kings and the 4 king lost. When the 5 kings came to loot they took everything and everyone. Then a fugitive (someone who escaped prison) came and told Avram that Lot got taken in a raid. When Avram heard this he took 318 of his men and went to purse the kings. Avram and his men beat the kings men and took all there stuff back to sodom where they belong, including Lot. Then King Melchizedk came out and thanked him for what he did. Then Avram decided to give him 10% of all he had. Then the king of Sodom came out and told him that he could keep all the possession that the 5 kings took from them just give him his people. Now if most of us heard this we would do what the king wanted and been on out way. But Avram did not so that. He told the king to take back all his stuff so because Avram did not want people saying that the reason he was so rich was because someone gave all these riches. See most of us would say that was a really bad decision. I mean come on who would not want to be really rich right away. But Avram wanted everyone one to know that he got to where he was because of himself and the blessing Yahoova gave him. These are all my thought on the passages to day.

In Bereishit chapter 13, Avram gave Lot the choice of land he wanted. Since Lot took the flourishing land and Avram accepted the dryer land that shows that Avram has faith that Elohim will provide. Shouldn’t we all have this deep of faith in our creator?

    Genesis/Bereishit 11-12

In chapter 11 we learn that all the nations of the earth tried to build a giant tower to make a name for themselves. Then Yahoova (God) came down and saw that this was not good and went down and confused there languages so that they could not talk to one another. Then Yahoova scattered the people all across the earth.
Then at the end of chapter we learn about a man name Avram (abram) and his wife Sarai. Then in chapter 12 we learn that Yahoova is going to make Avram into a great nation. Then Yahoova told Avram and Lot (His cousin )to leave Haran (Lots grandFather). While Avram and Lot are traveling Yahoova told them to go through egypt. When they got to egypt and Avram got scared that if the pharaoh found out that Avram was Sarai his wife they would kill him and take Sarai as pharaoh’s wife.He told her that if they ask who she was to him to say that she was Avrams sister. Eventual pharaoh saw Sarai and she was taken to his palace. Then YAhoova sent a plague to pharaoh’s household because pharaoh tried to take Sarai as his wife. When pharaoh found out that Sarai was Avrams wife he called Avram to his palace He got mad a Avram saying Genesis/Bereishit 12:18-2018 Pharaoh sent for Avram and said, “What is this you have done to me! Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her as my wife? Now, here is your wife; take her and begone!” 20 And Pharaoh put men in charge of him, and they sent him off with his wife and all that he possessed.
Can you imagine that you had to tell your wife to pretend to be your sister so you would not die. It’s a good thing that Yahoova cared about Avram and Sarai or pharaoh was going to have a new queen. Well these are my thought on the passages today.

    Genesis/Bereishit 9-10

Hey guys I hope you all had a great Shabbat. I know I did anyways let’s talk about the reading we had for today. Today’s reading was a very interesting. After Noach and his family get off the ark Yahoova (God) told them to be fertile and increase, and fill the earth. He also told man how to eat meat. Genesis/Berishit 9:4-5 4 You must not, however, eat flesh with its life-blood in it.5 But for your own life-blood I will require a reckoning: I will require it of every beast; of man, too, will I require a reckoning for human life, of every man for that of his fellow man! This means that when we eat meat it can not have any blood in it at all. Not only does it tell us how to eat meat but it also talks about what would happen if you killed someone. Genesis/Berishit 9:6 6Whoever sheds the blood of man, By man shall his blood be shed; For in His image Did Elohem make man. This mean that if you killed someone you would die by the hand of someone else.
After Yahoova set the ground rule for Noach and his family he sets a covenant with Noach to. Genesis/Bereishit 9:10-178 And Hashem said to Noach and to his sons with him,9 “I now establish My covenant with you and your offspring to come,10 and with every living thing that is with you—birds, cattle, and every wild beast as well—all that have come out of the ark, every living thing on earth.11 I will maintain My covenant with you: never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”12 Hashem further said, “This is the sign that I set for the covenant between Me and you, and every living creature with you, for all ages to come.13 I have set My bow in the clouds, and it shall serve as a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.14 When I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow appears in the clouds,15 I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature among all flesh, so that the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.16 When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between Hashem and all living creatures, all flesh that is on earth.17 That,” Hashem said to Noach, “shall be the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and all flesh that is on earth.” Isn’t that great.! Yahoova told Noach that he would never destroy man again using water. The bow he is referring to is the rainbow. You know the one that appears in the sky with all the pretty colors. That is a sign between man and Yahoova. That marks the promise that Yahoova gave to Noach after he got out of the ark.
This was not the only story that happened in chapter 9. There is also the story of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. In this story Noach planted a vineyard, when the grapes got ripe he turned them into a juice and drank. He got drunk and went to his tent and uncovered himself. Now Ham walked into his tent and told his brothers that there father was naked in the tent. When Shem and Japheth heard of this they grabbed some cloth and put on the backs. When they came to their fathers tent they walked backwards to avoid looking at their father’s nakedness. They turned the heads to avoid looking at him and placed the cloth over him to cover his body. When Noach woke up he go mad at Ham and cursed Ham’s son saying. 25 he said, “Cursed be Canaan; The lowest of slaves Shall he be to his brothers.”26 And he said, “Blessed be Yahoova, The Elohem of Shem; Let Canaan be a slave to them.27 May Yahoova enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be a slave to them.” The reason he curse Ham and his family was because Ham saw his father nakedness. Then we learn about the descendants of Noach’s sons in chapter 10.
Learning about the story of Noach was very interesting. We learned alot about a wise man who followed what Yahoova said. We learned that if we do what Yahoova says we to can be blessed like Noach was.

      Shamon Izzabella,

Like you, I too have wondered about the unclean beasts being saved in the ark. Have not yet an answer from Abba in this matter so I continue on Patiently Awaiting His Reply.

And yes… Abba does have a purpose for them as All matters Happen in the Love that is and of our Abba Father YHVH – even those which we do not currently understand – yet we “keep on keeping on… in Love.” ?

Today we read that Elohim told Noah to bring with him (Bereishith 7:2-3) “Of all the clean beasts take with you seven pairs, a male and his female; and of the beasts that are unclean two, a male and his female.” My question today is why did Elohim want Noah to keep the unclean animals if they are not clean?

    Genesis/ Bereishit 7-8

Yesterday we learned that Yahoova (God, Hashem, Andonia) was going to destroy the Earth in a huge flood because of all the wickedness that mankind had been doing. But there was one man Noach (Noah) who found favor in the eyes of Yahoova because he walked in the way of Yahoova. He told Noach to build an ark an so that he could fit his family and one male and one female of every land animal and birds in it. Today’s reading goes into more detail about this story.
Once again Yahoova tells Noach that he is sparring his family from the flood because Noach was the only one who did what Yahoova wanted man to do. Genesis/Bereishit 7:1- Then Yahoova said to Noach, “Go into the ark, with all your household, for you alone have I found righteous before me in this generation.” Then Yahoova told Noach to go and gather the animals and bring them to the ark. He told Noach that he must take 7 pairs of the clean animals male and there mate(or 14 of every clean animals), and two of every unclean animal one male and one female. This took Noach 7 days. Now you might ask what is a clean and not clean animal? We will dive deeper into this topic when we read Leviticus/ Vayikra. On the 7th day Noach and his family got in the ark and it started to rain. Yahoova made it rain for 40 days and forty nights wiping out all of mankind, all the land animals, and all the birds. After it rained, poured and flooded on the 41rst day the rains stopped .Only Noach, his family, his sons wives, and the animals on the ark were left.
Then Yahoova remembered Noach and the animals with him and caused the water to lower. Latter the water level went down so much that the ark stopped moving and rested on top of a mountain. Latter Noach wanted to know if there was any dry land outside so he sent a raven the raven went to and fro from the ark so he knew that there was still water everywhere. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water level was still really really high. He sent the dove off then the dove came back latter because he could not find a place to land. He waited seven days and sent the dove out again but this time it came back with an olive leaf. So Noach knew that waters were gone from the Earth. Seven days latter Noach sent the dove out again but this time it did not come back. This what happened next Genesis/Bereishit8:13 In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the waters began to dry from the earth; and when Noach removed the covering of the ark, he saw that the surface of the ground was drying.14 And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.15 Elohem spoke to Noach, saying,16 “Come out of the ark, together with your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives.17 Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds, animals, and everything that creeps on earth; and let them swarm on the earth and be fertile and increase on earth.”18 So Noach came out, together with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives.19 Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that stirs on earth came out of the ark by families.20 Then Noach built an altar to Yahoova and, taking of every clean animal and of every clean bird, he offered burnt offerings on the altar.21 Yahoova smelled the pleasing odor, and Yahoova said to Himself: “Never again will I doom the earth because of man, since the devisings of man’s mind are evil from his youth; nor will I ever again destroy every living being, as I have done.22 So long as the earth endures, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Summer and winter, Day and night Shall not cease.”
The story of Noach gives us a lot to think about. It is full of information and gives us many questions to ask. But one thing’s for sure we should act more like Noach in a world full of wickedness we should strive to walk the way Yahoova wants us to walk.

    Genesis/Berishit chapters 5-6

Learning about the genealogy of Adam was very interesting. It was cool to see who came after Adam, plus everyone lived to be around 900 years old. After Adam there was Shet, then Enosh, then Keinan, then Mehlalael, then Yerd, then Chanoch, then Metushelach, then Lemech, then comes
Noah. During Noah’s lifetime the Earth was full of human beings, but there were all doing wicked things. They were so wicked that Yahoova(God) even said he regretted creating man. Genesis/Berishit 6:6 And Yahoova regretted that he had made man on earth, and his heart was saddened. But there was hope. Yahoova saw that Noach (Noah) was blameless in his age and that he walked with Yahoova. Yahoova told Noach that he was going to destroy the earth because of all the wickedness that was present. Then he told Noach to make a ark that was made of gopher wood. The ark was supposed to be 300 amots long, 50 amots wide, and 30 amots tall. There were 3 decks, an opening for the Sun to shine through, and a door on the side. Then Yahoova tells Noach he is going to destroy the earth in a huge flood. But Yahoova said that he going to allow Noach and his family to enter the ark and they would be safe. So he told Noach that he must get one female and one male of every animal and bring it on the ark. He also told them to bring food for them and the animals on to the ark.
I still cant believe that in the whole wide world that Noach was the only one in the world who walked the way Yahoova said to walk. Can you imagine the shock that Noach had when Yahoova said that he was going to destroy the whole earth?

      Shalom Stephen,

Was wondering where in Scripture you find that All people except Noah were doing wicked things and that Noah was the only person on earth Walking with YHVH? ?

Hey Dale :), These are the verses I used to make that statement.

Genesis/ Berishit :5-9 5 Hashem saw how great was man’s wickedness on earth, and how every plan devised by his mind was nothing but evil all the time. 6 And Hashem regretted that He had made man on earth, and His heart was saddened. 7 Hashem said, “I will blot out from the earth the men whom I created—men together with beasts, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I regret that I made them.” 8 But Noach found favor with Hashem. 9 This is the line of Noach.—Noach was a righteous man; he was blameless in his age; Noach walked with Hashem.

        Stephen,

The translation I have is much the same as you have Shared.

Not Seeing anywhere in translated Scripture where Abba says ALL men except Noah were wicked. What I am Hearing Abba Share with us here is that mankind in general – the vast majority – used the Freedom which is an Inseparable part of our Abba Father’s Love to “do what is right in their own eyes” as prompted by the adversary without any heartfelt desire for Abba’s Presence.

How does this Feel in your heart? ?

It would be cool to have a young perspective; however, once a boy hits 13 he is considered a man. He should walk and talk as a man. Please share your point of view as we all are interested in what you have to say. So glad you are reading and studying His Word. Keep up the good work.

    Shalom Stephen,

My name is Dale and while a bit older in years (am 52 years old) then are you, I remain a child at heart in the Timeless Oneness that is and of our Abba Father YHVH.

As “Out of the mouths of babes He has Perfected His Praise” (Tehillim [Psalms] 8:2) was wondering if it was ok with you if I stopped by here to Glean from what Abba is Sharing in this place? If so, would it also be ok with you if Abba brought something to my Attention He Desired to Share here that I pass this along to you via a post in this forum?

Good question. I’ve been warned not to do a lot things and have gotten in trouble for not listening. Maybe it was a test to see if they could be trusted. At least they were warned.

Hi i’m Izabella Ross, 12 years old. In Bereishit (Genesis) 3:1-6 The serpent tricks Chava into eating from the tree if knowledge of good and bad. My question is, why did Hashem place the tree of knowledge of good and bad in Eden if he knew that there was a possibility that Chava and Adam would eat from it?

      Shalom (Peace) Izabella,

In “The Scriptures” 2nd Edition 1998 Published by Institute for Scripture Research which is the version of Scripture I find my Attention in most often, Beresheeth (Genesis) 2:9 is as follows with capitalization to bring Attention to Abba’s Essence…

And out of the ground YHVH Elohim made every tree grow that is Pleasant to the sight and Good for food, with the Tree of Life in the midst of The Garden and the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil.

Notice how Abba did not bring forth the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil but Allowed it to come to be.

Remember that in Beresheeth 1:31 Abba saw All that He had made and declared it to be “Very Good.”

In Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 5:20-22 we See how Abba Feels about calling Good evil and evil Good…

Woe to those who call evil Good, and Good evil; who put darkness for Light, and Light for darkness; who put bitter for Sweet, and Sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight!

In spite of what the adversary would have us think from translated Scripture, our Abba Father YHVH is not a hypocrite as He has Shared with me in Conversation Together, “I am not two-faced nor fork tounged.”

Remember also that “at the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established” – Devarim (Deuteronomy) 19:15

So we have three witnesses from Scripture that Confirm Abba did not place the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil in The Garden, He Allowed it to come to be, along with a forth witness in this matter Confirmed by the first three.

Now – and this is most important – these four witnesses are in Perfect Harmony with the Timeless Oneness of Abba and His Word as found throughout Scripture. “Chapterized” and “versified” Scripture tempts us to think of what Abba said outside the Timeless Oneness that is He and His Word and is what gives rise to the adversary’s interpretations of Abba’s Word.

How am I Aware – beyond even the slimmest shadow of a doubt – that these four witnesses are in Perfect Harmony with the Timeless Oneness of Scripture? In Our Relationship Together, I have spent countless hours in the Lap of my Loving Daddy as He Reads with me from His Written Word, Revealing for me what He Desires to Share with me. Much the same as when you and your parents read together. ?

And what Abba Shares with me from Scripture is Confirmed by Our Everyday Experiences Encountered as We Tend to His Garden Together.

I am not “special” or “privileged” as the adversary would like people to think, for Abba’s is a big lap that makes this thing we call the universe seem small as there is plenty of room for All who Share in His Heartfelt Desire to spend Eternity Together Resting in Him as One.

      Todah Raba Abba YHVH!
Thank You Very Much Abba YHVH!

Izabella, how do you Feel about what is Shared here?

      Shalom v’Ahava B’Shem YHVH
Peace and Love in the Name of YHVH

    Genesis/Bereishit 3-4
The story in how Adam and Chava(Eve) got kicked out of the garden still amazes me to this day. Adam and Chava were living peacefully in the garden when out of nowhere a serpent came up to Chava telling here to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Chava and the snake argued about eating from the tree. But eventually Chava fell for the snakes trap and ate from the tree. Not only did she eat it Chava gave some Adam and he ate it to! Can you believe it Adam and Chava were in a garden that Yahoova (God) made just for them and the only rule was to not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil! Can you imagine what would happen if you broke that rule? Well you don’t have to just read Genesis/Bereishit 3:7-24 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they perceived that they were naked; and they sewed together fig leaves and made themselves loincloths.8 They heard the sound of Yahoova moving about in the garden at the breezy time of day; and the man and his wife hid from Elohem among the trees of the garden.9 Yahoova called out to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”10 He replied, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”11 Then He asked, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat of the tree from which I had forbidden you to eat?”12 The man said, “The woman You put at my side—she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”13 And Yahoova said to the woman, “What is this you have done!” The woman replied, “The serpent duped me, and I ate.”14 Then Yahoova said to the serpent, “Because you did this, More cursed shall you be Than all cattle And all the wild beasts: On your belly shall you crawl And dirt shall you eat All the days of your life.15 I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your offspring and hers; They shall strike at your head, And you shall strike at their heel.”16 And to the woman He said, “I will make most severe Your pangs in childbearing; In pain shall you bear children. Yet your urge shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”17 To Adam He said, “Because you did as your wife said and ate of the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ Cursed be the ground because of you; By toil shall you eat of it All the days of your life:18 Thorns and thistles shall it sprout for you. But your food shall be the grasses of the field;19 By the sweat of your brow Shall you get bread to eat, Until you return to the ground— For from it you were taken. For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”20 The man named his wife Chava, because she was the mother of all the living.21 And Yahoova made garments of skins for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.22 And Yahoova said, “Now that the man has become like one of us, knowing good and bad, what if he should stretch out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever!”23 SoYahoova banished him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he was taken.24 He drove the man out, and stationed east of the garden of Eden the cherubim and the fiery ever-turning sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.
After Adam and Chava got kicked out of the Garden of Eden Chava bore two children the first born being Cain and the second Abel..Latter Cain be a tiller of soil or a farmer and Abel became a keeper of sheep or a shepherd. Latter on in life Cain and Abel brought offerings up to Yahoova (God), Cain brought him fruits and vegetables and Abel brought him his best of first born sheep. When they offered it up to Yahoova, Yahoova paid attention to Abel’s offering but not to Cain’s. When Yahoova did not accept his offering he got jealous of his brother. Latter Cain and Abel were in a field by themselves tending to their crops and herds when all of a sudden Cain struck Abel and killed him. Latter Yahoova Asked Cain where his brother was and Cain answered saying “I do not know.Am I my brother’s keeper?” But Yahoova already knew what happened to him and cursed Cain that anyone who came across him would try to kill him. Latter Cain left Yahoovas precens and bore a son with his wife and 4 generations passed before Cain died. Then Adam went into Chava and they bore another son named shet and Adam was happy for Yahoova gave them another son after Cain had died.

Hey guys its me Stephen Ross and I would like to say that from here we’ll be reading from the most kodesh (Holy) books of all the Tanakh. The Tanakh most commonly known as the Old Testament consists of various story categorized into section. The first five books being the Five books of Moses or Torah meaning instructions and right rulings. Next is the Nevi’im or prophets. And last but not least the Ketuvim the writings. Now let us start with the first book in the Tanak Bereishit or Genesis.

    Genesis/Bereishit,Chapters 1-2
Wow it’s crazy to think that our whole world was created in seven days. On the first day Yahoova (God) created light. On the second he created the sky. On the third day he created dry land, the sea, and vegetation. On the fourth day the Sun, Moon, and stars. On the fifth day he created birds and fish. On the sixth day he created land animals and man. Then on the seventh day Yahoova (God) was finished working and rested. Genesis 2:1-3 “1 The heaven and the earth were finished, and all their array.2 On the seventh day Elohim finished the work that he had been doing, and he ceased on the seventh day from all the work that he had done.3 And Elohem blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because on it Elohem ceased from all the work of creatio that he had done.”
I also think that it was cool to find out how man came to be. First Yahoova (God) formed man from the dust of the earth then he blew into his nostrils giving him the breath of life. Then he created the Garden of Eden and placed the man in it. Then Yahoova told Adam that he could eat from every tree in the garden except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then Yahoova said that it is not good for man to be alone and brought all the animals to Adam so he could name them. After he named them all Yahoova could not find Adam a fitting helper. He put Adam into a deep sleep and and took one of Adam’s ribs and fashioned it into a women. When Adam woke up and saw that both of them were naked he felt no shame.
