    Shalom All,

What catches my Attention is WHY Esau sold his birthright. Not because he was hungry and not because he was tired, but because he was WEARY!

For thus said YHVH, Creator of the heavens, He is Elohim, Former of the earth and its Maker, He Established it, He did not Create it to be empty, He formed it to be inhabited: “I am YHVH, and there is none else. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I have not said to the seed of Ya’acov, ‘Seek Me in vain.’ I am YHVH, speaking Righteousness, declaring matters that are Straight. Gather yourselves and come; draw near together, you who have escaped from the gentiles. No Awareness have they who are lifting up the wood of their carved image, and pray to a mighty one that does not save. Declare and bring near, let them even take counsel together. Who has announced this from old? Who has declared it from that time? It is not I, YHVH? And there is no mighty one besides Me, a Righteous El and a Saviour, there is none besides Me. Turn to Me and be Saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am El, and there is none else. I have sworn by Myself, a Word has gone out of My Mouth in Righteousness, and shall not return, so that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue swear. One shall say, ‘Only in YHVH do I have Righteousness and Strength’ – he comes to Him. And All those displeased with Him shall be put to shame. In YHVH All the seed of Yisra’el shall be Declared Right and Shine.” Bel has bowed down, Nebo is stooping, their idols were on the beasts and on the cattle. That which is carried is burdensome, a burden to the weary. They have stooped, they have bowed down together, they are unable to deliver the burden, but they themselves went into captivity. “Shama Me, O house of Ya’acov, and All the remnant of the house of Yisra’el, who are born from the belly, who are carried from the womb: Even to your old age, I am He, and even to grey hairs I carry! I have Made and I Bear, I Carry and I Rescue. To whom do you liken Me, and compare Me, and make Me similar, that we should be alike? They pour gold out of the bag, and weigh silver on the scale. They hire a goldsmith, and he makes a mighty one. They fall down, they also bow themselves. They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it and set it in its place, and it stands – from its place it does not move. Though one cries out to it, it does not answer, nor save him from his distress. Remember this, and show yourselves men; turn it back, You transgressors. Remember the former events of old, for I am El, and there is no one else – Elohim, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My Counsel does Stand, and All My Delight I do,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My Counsel, from a distant land. Indeed I have spoken it, I also bring it to pass. I have planned it, I also do it. Shama Me, you stubborn-hearted who are far from Righteousness: l shall bring My Righteousness near, it is not far off, and My Deliverance, it is not delayed. And I shall give Deliverance in Tsiyon, My Splendor to Yisra’el. – Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 45:18-46

Thus said YHVH, “Stand in the ways and See, and Ask for the Old Paths, where the Good Way is, and Walk in it; and find Rest for yourselves. But they said, ‘We do not walk in it.’ And I raised up watchmen over you, and said, ‘Shama the sound of the Shofar!’ But they said, ‘We do not Shama.’” – Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 6:16-17

Come to Me, All who are weary and are burdened, and I shall give you Rest. Take My Yoke upon you and Learn from Me, for I am Meek and Humble in Heart, and you shall find Rest for your beings. For My Yoke is Gentle and My Burden is Light.” – Mattithyahu (Matthew) 11:28-30

And there was given to him to give Spirit to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause to be killed as many as would not worship the image of the beast. And he causes All, both small and great, and rich and poor, and free and slave, to be given a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads, and that no one should be able to buy or sell except that he has the mark of the beast, or the number of his name. – Revelation 13:15-17

And a third messenger followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark upon his forehead or upon his hand, he shall also drink of the wine of the displeasure of Elohim, which is poured out undiluted into the cup of His displeasure. And he shall be tortured with fire and sulphur before the Pure messengers and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torture goes up Forever and Ever. And they have no Rest day or night, those worshipping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.” Here is the Endurance of the Pure ones, here are those Guarding the Instructions of Elohim and the Belief of Yahoshua. – Revelation 14:9-12

“We know not that for which we toil” and Abba Shares… “We Endure and Overcome the wearisome toil of the adversary Together as you Rest in Me as One while We continue to Explore the Infinite Abundance of My Inseparable Presence and Provision Flowing Freely from the Storehouse of My Love – My Spirit.”

    Todah Raba Abba YHVH!

    Shalom v’Ahava B’Shem YHVH
Peace and Love in the Name of YHVH

    Hi all
Yehovah says that we should not covet our neighbours things our minds our hearts can deceive others it all starts in the mind and Leads to action like the command thou shall not murder it is preceded by malice and hate and acted on in the action . It is the intent of the heart . But We are also instructed to Love Yehovah with all our hearts and minds and bodies and God is not mocked man reaps what he sows Jacob was deceived too by Leban afterward when he tricked him into marrying Leah . So it seems we should learn that there are consequences to our thoughts .
    Shalom Julie

As I understand it, Jacob didn’t steal Esau’s birthright. He bought it. A classical economic transfer based on the agreed value of something by a willing buyer and a willing seller. However, it appears that he did indeed steal his father’s blessing through deceit.

Perhaps taking advantage of someone when they are in dire straits is a form of theft?
