Bereshit 5
Keith posted a response to my first post about slowing the recording down. I did that this morning and had the opportunity to really look at the Hebrew as I was reading/listening. While I had heard about and seen the various markings, I had never really paid a lot of attention to them. Boy are there a lot of them. No wonder it takes years to fully understand Biblical Hebrew.
The other thing I had an opportunity to really take note of by slowing the recording down was the presence of two Hebrew letters that aren’t connected to anything. There are samechs and peys peppered throughout chapter 5. Does anyone know (I know Keith does ?) why they are there and/or what they mean?
