The Power of Positivity…through the eyes of King David
Audioblog #15

By Keith Johnson with Guest Nehemia Gordon
The time has come for me to address the toxicity of negativity amongst those who I call the “know it somes” who learn something new and now “know it all” for everybody! Okay, so I am trying to find a positive way to deal with my negative feelings; so what better way to address it than to jump right in to an audioblog with Nehemia Gordon who lives in China partly because he is running from negativity?
Here is his perspective about this audioblog:
“This past week I had a golden opportunity to jump on the bandwagon of negativity and bash a brother who did something I disagreed with theologically, historically, and biblically. I could have scored some easy points for my “team.” It was a no-brainer from my Karaite Jewish perspective. Instead, I chose to join my Methodist friend Keith Johnson in a message of solidarity focusing on the power of positivity. We decided to ask once again, “What would David do?” Thankfully, the Tanakh gives us a perfect picture of how King David dealt with a situation of negativity. We also looked at a second witness in the Book of Jeremiah. Our innocent inquiry turned into a remarkable roundtable of revelation in the word of Yehovah.” Nehemia Gordon

Keith the negativity is to be expected. After all this is satans world. He is after all those upon whom the he Yad of YHVH rests and the Yad of YHVH is upon you. So stop whining and keep moving forward! I also wish you and Nehemiah will get on the road again.

For editors only:
I submitted a comment this afternoon. And it did not post. I thought I did something wrong. So this evening I re-submitted it. It did not post again. I am guessing that it needs to be approved first, which is fine with me.
Meanwhile, I did more work on it, and the second submission should be more helpful to you. If any part of it is questionable, feel free to contact me and work with me.
Lotsa love! Dave

With Sabbath upon us I just want to quickly send love and blessings to Keith and Nehemiah for their honest and “positive” approach to bringing the truth of Yehovah’s mighty Word to us. It is easy to become disillusioned with ministries who may have had a great impact on your life but when the spitting and cursing and kicking up dust starts, it just isn’t worth the investment, on any level. Keith, Nehemiah, you are so special. We love you.

On Facebook, there is many people who find a platform to express feelings they wouldn’t dare to express otherwise. This is anonymous (kind of) and many of those who are negative on Facebook are actually people who have no real social live and/or meaningful interactions in the real world. Bullying is not for teenagers only, adults can be very bad as well.
Those who are the most positive, are just too busy to answer your post on Facebook. I never comment on your post myself (Sometimes, I agree; Sometimes, I disagree), because I am too busy spreading the Good News either on Facebook or in the real world. I am surely not the only one to be this way. People like me don’t comment or argue as much, they care for what matter. This is probably why you have 50% of negative comments. This is because positive people do not comment. I do not believe Facebook to be representative of the real world.
The negativity on Facebook is not exclusive to the “messianic” movement, many fundamentalists Christians are not any better (No matter what the argument is all about: religion, theology or politics). Sometimes, we simply need to say what we have to say and move forward.
Now let’s be positive: Great audioblog and great video last week on the “blood moons”. 🙂
Shalom!

Thanks for this audio. I have been disheartened with some of the negativism I’ve witnessed recently. May Yehovah help me stay focused on His purpose and will in my life!
