“Status Quo” on the Temple Mount Shattered?
You Decide!

Does Prime Minister Netanyahu mean what he says? I am starting to wonder. On my recent visit to the headquarters of Breaking Israel News in Ramat Beit Shemesh, I offered my perspective on what the Prime Minister means when he says, “We are committed to maintaining the status quo on the Temple Mount.” The editors decided to write an article that you may find helpful in understanding what these two power-packed words—“status quo”—really mean when referring to the historic agreement between Israel and Jordan regarding the Temple Mount. You can read the article here: In Defense of the Staus Quo on the Temple Mount.
To add a different perspective on what “status quo” means, a Danish Christian woman, along with an incognito Jewish cameraman (Nehemia Gordon), were literally removed from the Temple Mount because…? Nehemia was able to capture the entire fiasco on video!
Listen to Nehemia Gordon interview “Jerusalem Jane” on the newest episode of Hebrew Voices to learn why they were removed from the Mount. You might be surprised.
For now, I think that is enough for you to ponder as we continue to do our best to shed some light of truth on what is happening on the Temple Mount.

Why does Bibi here go to the extra trouble of calling Jordan “The Hashemite kingdom of Jordan”? Just curious…

Greetings Keith,
From “In Defense of the Status Quo on the Temple Mount”, by Lea Speyer October 22, 2015 , 2:27 pm, are you in agreement with the following statement:
“…in order to “promote interfaith relations among the three monotheistic religions,” echoing the promise found in Isaiah 56:7 which states “for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.””?
Is a “sleight of hand” being used here in order to change the truth of what Yehovah said into a lie for human purposes?
Does Yehovah say “…for all religions.”, or does He say “…for all nations.”?
(Some clues:
Yer 3:17 At that time Yerusalem shall be called the throne of Yehovah, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of Yehovah in Yerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart.
Zec 14:16 Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Yerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, Yehovah of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.)
Do all “monotheistic religions” keep the “Feast of Booths”?
Bottom line. Has Yehovah ever encouraged any of mankind to come to His Pure City and “pray” in any way they choose? Will a day arrive when all mankind will come to Yehovah in the way He says, to honor Him in the way He says? Is any attempt to force another way ever going to succeed, or is it all in vain?
Yarah shalam,
Jake

From Jews’ and Christians’ perspective, the status quo is shattered and has not been enforced for a long time. There is no equal access to the Temple Mount. But Palestinians and Muslims have a paranoia that Jews plan to take over the site and build a temple. I think they see any effort to increase the access for Jews as a breaking of the status quo. Muslims want to do as they please, and the Waqf supports them. From Mr. Netanyahu’s point of view, he seems to treat the status quo as a way to keep Muslims at bay. He knows that there is great discrimination against Jews and Christians, but also knows that enforcing equality and human rights would be like poking a wasp nest. The Israeli police are very sensitive about anything that might seem like incitement. My personal opinion is that Muslims and Palestinians on the Temple Mount are like brats and spoiled children, and they are cunning in their threats of rioting and war. But in the end, the God of Israel will outsmart those who defy Him. He will laugh at them, as He whacks them and brings an end to the problem. Patience and faith.

Great “status quo” article. Troubling videos.
Let’s see: Singing a song (of any sort) on the Temple Mount is not welcomed and is reason to be removed. Certainly evil of the worse sort. Yet, calling for the killing Jews appears to be acceptable while youth view the hatred of a ‘preacher’ near the same location where Jerusalem Jane and the incognito Jewish cameraman were peacefully strolling. That’s the “status quo” to protect?! Jane and Nehemia recorded a post-ambush podcast available at Nehemia’s website.
Everyone should follow the link and read the “status quo” article.
Keith, TY!
