Vaetchanan
Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11

Vaetchanan is perhaps the crown jewel of Torah portions. It contains the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4. But what do the Hebrew words “Shema” and “Echad” mean and why is this single verse so important? Also in this program: Is Jesus/Yeshua a victim of character assassination? What are the Noahide laws? Was the covenant made with us or our fathers? What is the 1st commandment?

I love this Torah portion! I taught my grandchildren what “to hear” or sham a means so when I say do you hear me they know its the action behind it I’m looking for. That one word, sham a, is the biggest difference between night and day. If many could understand that shama means to obey and do, not just hear and have faith, Yahovah’s people would be so different. I’ve noticed a lot of other religions do listen and obey their twisted versions of their god.
Toda, shalom!
