  • My previous comment lacked the reference to Ezekiel 47:21 – 22. These verses specifically mention the ‘foreigner’ receiving land along with the Israelites. I find this so fascinating and wonder why I have never heard this before. I have been in the Sabbath keeper fellowship (lack of better terminology) for 6 or 7 years and was a United Methodist for double that. Is this a taboo subject? The rabbinical explanation that I read was that Caleb was not really a kenazzite – his father was merely described as a hunter. Is this explanation plausible? Or is this an attempt to stress that gentiles were NOT included in the covenant with Yehovah?

  • Hi Fellows,
I am new to your show and love it! Thank-you for providing great info on the Torah readings.
My question is this: It was said that Yah gave Caleb an inheritance in the promised land and that because he was not an Israelite this was a reward for being faithful to Yehovah. Caleb was considered a leader in the Tribe of Judah. Why would he not be granted land WITH the tribe? Are we sure that the gentiles were not already joined to a tribe and even counted in the census as such? I am thinking Jeremiah may have some answers to this when he talks about the world to come. What say you?
    Thank-you,
    Rhonda Thompson,O.D.
